Prime Minister Launches Thai Help Thai Plus via Food Delivery Cute Moment with Nong Abigail Declining to Be Held Citing Her Weight

The Prime Minister launched Thai Help Thai Plus in collaboration with food delivery services, encountering a charming moment with "Nong Abigail" acting as a chef demonstrating fried rice. She shyly shook her head when asked, "Uncle, do I look like you?" and politely declined to be held, saying she was heavy.

On 15 June 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the opening ceremony promoting the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) program for food delivery platforms. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Akniti Nitithanprapas, along with finance ministry executives, financial institution representatives, and private sector participants, joined the event.

The Prime Minister toured five exhibition booths from public and private sectors: 1. Krungthai Bank's AI “Nok Kasip” 2. Grab Taxi (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Grab) 3. Lineman (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Lineman) 4. Purple Ventures Co., Ltd. (Robinhood) and 5. Shopee (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (ShopeeFood). These partners support the project to facilitate public access to government economic stimulus benefits nationwide.

During the visit to the Grab Food booth, which had previously joined the Khon La Khrueng Plus program and achieved 9 million orders with a 20-fold growth in vendors, the atmosphere was lively. "Friend of Grab" Nong Abigail, daughter of celebrity Mom Chompoo, helped promote the platform. The Prime Minister spoke with Nong Abigail, who was playing a chef cooking fried rice, inviting people to order Grab Food. They took photos together. At one point, the Prime Minister's wife asked Abigail if she knew "Uncle" and if he looked like her. Abigail shyly shook her head and smiled. The Prime Minister tried to hold her, but she declined, saying she was heavy. He affectionately touched her cheek before moving on to Lineman, Robinhood, and ShopeeFood booths, joining tea brewing and tasting to promote the platforms.

The Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) program for food delivery platforms allows citizens to claim benefits from 15 June to 30 September 2026 between 06:00 and 21:00 GMT+7 via the 'Pao Tang' application. This facilitates public access to government benefits and increases income for small vendors and shops nationwide.
