Veteran and young hosts Danai and Amornrat clarify the issue of ending the program “Inside Thailand” on MCOT HD channel on 30 June, emphasizing there was no pressure or conflict with management and that they are preparing to move to a new platform.
On 15 June 2026, Mr. Danai Ekmahasawat and Ms. Amornrat Mahitthirukk the two hosts explained the case of the program “Inside Thailand” which is set to end broadcasting on Channel 9 MCOT HD number 30 on 30 June 2026. They confirmed this only marks the end of working on the current platform, not the end of their role as journalists, and emphasized there are no problems or conflicts with the station and MCOT Public Company Limited management. This clarification was made on the online version of “Inside Thailand” after the earlier announcement that the long-running political and social news program on Channel 9 would cease broadcasting at the end of this month.
Mr. Danai said at one point, “During nearly seven years of hosting the program on Channel 9, it has been a long period covering important political events across various administrations, including working under five different governments. We see this as an appropriate time for change and to seek new challenges in media work. Even under the so-called authoritarian government, such as the 'Uncle Tu' administration, we managed to get through it.”
He added that this decision was not due to pressure or conflicts with Channel 9 MCOT HD or MCOT Public Company Limited, and expressed gratitude to the management and all teams for their support throughout the program’s run.
Meanwhile, Mr. Danai and Ms. Amornrat revealed they are currently considering options and new platforms suitable for the program’s approach, though details cannot yet be disclosed. They will communicate updates to followers via the “Inside Thailand” Facebook page once decisions are finalized, asking viewers to wait patiently.
However, the program “Inside Thailand” will continue to air normally on Channel 9 MCOT HD until 30 June 2026, which will be its final broadcast day. The hosts confirm they will fully perform their duties in presenting news and public issues until the last episode.
