17 June 2026 GMT+7 Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, Chairman of the Progressive Movement, commented on the previous day’s (16 June) launch by the “Progressive Social Security” team of 14 candidates for the Social Security Board election in 2026—7 representing insured persons and 7 representing employers—under the slogan “Transforming welfare, eradicating corruption, reforming social security.” He said he wants to campaign for all insured persons and employers who have not yet registered to please do so to protect their benefits and contribution funds by voting for trusted employer and employee team candidates to represent and safeguard workers' and employers' interests. The Social Security Board election will be held on Sunday, 27 September 2026.
The seven candidates representing insured persons are Associate Professor Dr. Sattharum Thambutdee, Thanapong Chueamuangphan, Chalit Ratthapana, Naritha Phokaiyanan, Pratthana Phodi, Porntip Mongyai, and Roengrit Laokij.
The seven candidates representing employers are Premwit Seechatiwong, Patranit Srichandorn, Rattanasit Supaporn, Sukhothai Hattaratch, Adisorn Kerdmongkol, Erawan Vanichhanon, and Sararin Ruangpanyawut.
