Lawyer Aun Appeals to Ombudsman to Halt 3 EC Members over Senate Election Rigging Case

Lawyer Aun appealed to the Ombudsman to halt three Election Commission (EC) members involved in the Senate election rigging case, threatening to expose critical video evidence of vote-buying schemes and warning of consequences if prosecutions are truncated, while also vowing to continue pursuing the Khao Kradong land case.

At 11:00 a.m. on 17 June 2026 at the Ombudsman's Office, Mr. Phattharaphong Suphakorn, known as "Lawyer Aun Buriram," submitted a letter requesting the Ombudsman to forward the petition to the Constitutional Court and order the suspension of three of the seven Election Commission members during the consideration of the Senate election fraud case.

Lawyer Aun stated that the three EC members were selected by a Senate vote with 138 majority votes. This group of senators is currently under investigation for election rigging, raising public concerns about impartiality and potential violations of Article 215 of the Constitution and Article 126 of the Organic Act on the National Anti-Corruption Commission, which require independent bodies to act with integrity, impartiality, and courage.

Additionally, Lawyer Aun revealed rumors about reducing the number of senators to be prosecuted before the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders—from an original 52 down to 43, or possibly just over 20—to ease the situation by punishing those with clear financial trails while sparing key or reserve senators.

“I will not accept this because the entire Senate vote-rigging network is clearly interconnected. The EC’s 26th investigation subcommittee has completed the case file. Therefore, the EC must submit all 229 offenders’ names to the Supreme Court for consideration and must stop defending the accused,” Lawyer Aun said. He added that if the EC prosecutes only some, he will use official channels to demand the entire national Senate election be declared void immediately.

Regarding evidence, Lawyer Aun noted CCTV footage from the national Senate election day showing an unusually long 6–7 hour gap between the morning and afternoon voting rounds. He questioned Mr. Sa-wang Bunmee, EC Secretary-General, whether this delay was to await instructions to prepare new candidate lists after political groups betrayed each other in the morning round. He plans to release a series of revealing video clips (EP.1, EP.2, EP.3) with clearer content. He also cited initial testimonies to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) confirming money transfers involving a deputy Senate president. Currently, three senators have contacted him, unhappy about being removed from prosecution to protect key senators, despite having followed orders and transferred money like others.

Regarding Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, legal officer of the Bhumjaithai Party, who linked Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temeeyaves to the Khae Noi River encroachment case, Lawyer Aun responded that the Khao Kradong land issue has been conclusively ruled by the Supreme Administrative Court. He also questioned whether the appointment of a former State Railway board member was a political move to access insider information for a party quota.

Lawyer Aun stated that tomorrow he will meet the Director-General of the Department of Lands to follow up on the land encroachment case, where investors have illegally built a sports complex over a public pathway and stream. He emphasized that he is an independent fighter, not affiliated with any political faction.
