‘Khun Ying Sudarat’ Urges 4 Current Senators-Approved EC Members to Withdraw from Senate Election Rigging Case to Remove Doubts

Khun Ying Sudarat recommends two actions regarding the Senate election rigging investigation: that the four Election Commission members approved by the current Senate withdraw from this case and that the review period be tightened to just three months.

On 17 Jun 2026 GMT+7, Khun Ying Sudarat Keyuraphan, Thai Sang Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, posted a clip about the Senate election rigging case soon to be reviewed by the Election Commission. She questioned how much the public can trust the neutrality of this process when four of the seven EC members were approved by the current Senate, some of whose members are accused in this case, inevitably raising concerns about conflicts of interest and impartiality.

She therefore proposed that the Election Commission take two specific actions.

First, the four EC commissioners who were approved by the current Senate should withdraw from reviewing this case.

This would eliminate doubts and build public confidence.

Second, the review period should be shortened from six months to no more than three months to prevent delays.

This would also prove that the Election Commission is seriously, transparently, and fairly handling the case.

This case is not just about judging individuals but is a test of the credibility of the country’s election system and justice process. The Election Commission must show the public that no one is above scrutiny.

Those judging the case must be genuinely free from any doubts.
