Peoples Party Holds Major City That Cares Policy Fest, Supports Joe Chaiwat for Bangkok Governor

The People's Party holds a major event, the "City That Cares Policy Fest," gathering its key leaders to support "Joe Chaiwat" in the Bangkok governor race, while fielding candidates for all 50 district council seats across Bangkok.

On 17 June 2026, reporters reported that the People's Party is preparing a significant political offensive in Bangkok by organizing the "City That Cares Policy Fest" on Saturday, 20 June 2026, at the New Future Building. The event aims to promote the "City That Cares" concept and launch final communications ahead of the full Bangkok election campaign.

The "City That Cares Policy Fest" stage will bring together the People's Party's key leaders and team members, including party leader Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, Progressive Movement chairman Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, Woraphop Viriyaroj, Weerayut Kanchuchat, along with the party's candidates for Bangkok district council seats.

A highlight of the event is the presentation of the vision "Marking the First 100 Days to Build a City That Cares" by Chaiwat Sathaworawijit, the People's Party's Bangkok governor candidate number 10. This will outline a future Bangkok where citizens can see tangible results from the first day in office.

Under the "City That Cares" concept, the People's Party envisions Bangkok as a metropolis that does not leave people to bear problems alone but supports them during hardships, giving people time to live and care for their families, while creating opportunities for citizens to establish themselves and grow.

Key policies to be presented include solutions for transportation issues, care for families with young children and the elderly, basic welfare and public health, promotion of the SME economy, as well as the "Bangkok Canal" project that will transform the canal network into new transport options and economic opportunities for city residents.

Besides panel discussions, the event will offer an interactive exhibition where the public can participate in designing policies, along with zones presenting district-level policies from People's Party candidates contesting all 50 Bangkok districts.

The People's Party states that the "City That Cares" is the next step in the "Simple Bangkok" vision, aiming to transform the city from merely a residential area into one that shares life’s risks, opens opportunities for growth, and creates better quality of life for all.

The "City That Cares Policy Fest" will be held on Saturday, 20 June 2026, from 13:00 to 17:00 at the New Future Building on Ramkhamhaeng 42 Road, with free admission for the public throughout the event.
