Anutin Threatens Cabinet and Political Team of Bhumjaithai Party with Position Changes, Sets 1-Year Performance Deadline

Anutin has set a one-year deadline for performance evaluation, instructing ministers, 14 committee chairpersons, and political officeholders affiliated with the Bhumjaithai Party that anyone failing to meet targets will face position changes, warning that he will not adhere to the traditional quota system.

On 17 Jun 2026 GMT+7, a source from the Bhumjaithai Party revealed that after the party faced criticism over various political issues, including government projects such as the AI Passport initiative, land problems at Khao Kradong, and addressing influential figures and foreign nominees in Phuket province, among others.

Meanwhile, ministers, committee chairpersons, and MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party's 14 committees have yet to clearly explain or demonstrate tangible work, despite the government having been in power for over two months, leading to criticism and affecting the party’s credibility.

The source stated that Anutin Chanvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as head of the Bhumjaithai Party, has urged ministers, committee chairpersons, MPs, and political officeholders from the party to expedite their assigned duties and produce clear results, with performance evaluations scheduled within one year.

“If any officeholder fails to meet the set targets, adjustments will be made at ministerial, committee chairperson, and other political positions to allow capable and outstanding individuals to take over, without sticking to previous quota allocations,” the source said.

The source also added that this signal reflects Anutin’s desire to raise the efficiency of party personnel and restore public confidence after the party has faced continuous political pressure recently.
