On 18 June 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Rutthapon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, is scheduled to hold a joint press conference with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) on 19 June 2026 to reveal the names of individuals, legal entities, and private companies involved in the Forex network, amid rumors that opposition politicians have been implicated in the matter, with speculation pointing to Phawut Pongwittayapanu, a party-list MP from the Prachachon Party.
Recently, Phawut spoke to Channel 3 news and Sarayut Suthasnajinda on the program "Kamkon Khao, Khuay Nok Chaw" during one segment, stating that he would wait for any official summons if it exists. He affirmed he has never been involved with Forex and will withhold comment until more details are released.
Reporters added that Phawut is one of the key figures who helped examine the TH-AI Passport project from its inception and has also previously submitted questions to Chaiyachon Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, in the House of Representatives. However, further details will be revealed following the press conference on 19 June.
