18 June 2026 GMT+7 The Election Commission Office (EC) has opened an investigation and inquiry coordination center from 20 to 28 June 2026, operating daily from 08:30 to 19:00, to receive tips, conduct checks, handle complaints, and promptly take legal action against offenders. This aims to strengthen measures to prevent and suppress election fraud intensively during the final phase before the elections. These elections include the Governor of Bangkok, Bangkok Metropolitan Council members, Pattaya Mayor, and Pattaya City Council members.
Simultaneously, the EC has integrated forces with police officers, provincial election inspectors, investigation and inquiry officers, and intelligence agencies from central and regional levels to form a rapid response team operating proactively from 19 to 28 June 2026. This team will closely monitor, track, and investigate any suspicious fraudulent activities in all areas. The EC emphasized that vote-buying, offering money or benefits to entice voters, and any acts violating election laws will be strictly investigated and prosecuted. Offenders will face criminal penalties, political sanctions, and disqualification from voting rights as prescribed by law.
Furthermore, members of the public who witness or have information about election fraud can immediately report to the EC, as every tip is crucial for protecting the integrity and fairness of the elections.
