Mallika Unveils Strategy to Support Over 2,000 Bangkok Communities Highlighting Clean, Bright, Safe Living 24/7 for All Ages and Occupations

Mallika unveiled a strategy to support more than 2,000 communities across Bangkok, emphasizing "Clean, Bright, Safe" for 24-hour living accessible to all genders, ages, and occupations.

Between 11:00 and 14:00 on 18 June 2026, Mallika Boonmitrakul Mahasuk, candidate number 14 for Bangkok governor, visited Ban Khrua community, Soi Kingphet community, and Sois 5 and 7 in the Ratchathewi and Phaya Thai districts to meet closely with residents and community leaders to listen to their problems and suggestions.

Community leaders and residents expressed key issues affecting quality of life, especially insufficient lighting in public areas, walkways, and risk points, causing residents to feel unsafe traveling at night, particularly the elderly, women, children, and those returning home after work.

Mallika stated that Bangkok has over 2,000 communities, which are the city's heart. If communities are strong and residents have good quality of life, Bangkok will be a livable metropolis for all. She revealed a community development strategy based on the concept "Bangkok: Clean, Bright, Safe, Liveable 24 Hours." The key approaches include:

1. Increasing LED lighting throughout communities and risk points to enhance safety in daily life and travel.

2. Using AI and Smart City technology to monitor dark spots, risk areas, and provide real-time alerts.

3. Adding intelligent CCTV cameras linked to Bangkok's central control center.

4. Improving community environments to be clean and orderly, reducing waste and pollution problems.

5. Supporting income-generating spaces and community economy so residents have stable jobs and earnings.

6. Promoting residents' participation in planning their own community development.

"Bangkok must be a city where everyone can live safely—children, elderly, women, night workers, vendors, and all residents. We will not let communities be overlooked because they are the foundation of true urban development," Mallika said. . Mallika said
