Pongsakorn leads the Democrat Party spokesperson team in uniting support for Pinij to defend his championship as Samphanthawong District Councillor, while promoting James Anucha as candidate for Bangkok Governor.
On 19 June 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Pongsakorn Khwanmuang, spokesperson for the Democrat Party, accompanied by deputy spokespersons Ms. Siripha Intawichian and Mr. Nattakan Chuchana, visited the Sampheng-Tronwad area to assist Mr. Pinij Kanjanachusak, candidate number 2 for Samphanthawong District Councillor, in campaigning to retain his sixth term.
Mr. Pongsakorn expressed gratitude to the people of Samphanthawong, the party's core supporters, crediting Mr. Pinij Kanjanachusak for his continuous, consistent hard work as the party's district councillor, maintaining presence even without office. He urged the people of Samphanthawong to vote for Mr. Pinij, candidate number 2, to return as district councillor, and also to support Mr. Anucha Boopachai Sri, candidate number 5 for Bangkok Governor.
Ms. Siripha Intawichian, Democrat Party deputy spokesperson, stated that she recognizes Mr. Pinij as a pioneer in developing the Yaowarat area into a major tourist destination, a key landmark for travelers worldwide. She described him as a practitioner with tangible achievements, whose roles have enhanced local prosperity and competitiveness for both Bangkok and Thailand.
Mr. Nattakan Chuchana remarked that besides setting high standards in community care and wellbeing, Mr. Pinij has played a prominent role in overseeing BMA executives and monitoring the BMA's budget. He noted that the BMA’s budget is not limited to the approximately 90 billion baht under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Act annually, but also includes over 20 billion baht from the government’s annual expenditure budget. Mr. Pinij is the first district councillor to study and audit this alongside the parliamentary budget office, ensuring every baht of taxpayers’ money is used efficiently and without leakage.
Meanwhile, Mr. Pinij Kanjanachusak, candidate number 2 for Samphanthawong District Councillor, concluded by inviting all citizens to exercise their voting rights on Sunday, 28 June, urging them to re-elect him to continue developing the area and caring for the wellbeing of Samphanthawong residents.
