The Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson responded to Pijorn, dismissing political allegations and stating that no trend can overshadow the "Th-Ai Passport" case, affirming that everything is based on evidence.
On 19 June 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society and spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, posted on her personal Facebook stating, “The DSI announced that they have been investigating and collecting evidence on this matter for many months. Confident in the evidence, they conducted a major search and seizure. This case involves many victims and a large amount of money. The news clearly specifies the amount and the number of victims.”
Therefore, it does not matter who is investigating whom or if this is meant to overshadow any other issue. Everything follows the evidence, not social rhetoric. Most importantly, currently, no political issue is more prominent than the Th-Ai Passport project. Different times, different cases—wrongdoings should be addressed accordingly, and the innocent recognized as such for both matters.”
