Anucha Campaigns in Final Stretch, Promotes Democrat Team Strategy to Overhaul Waste Management System, Urges Bangkok Voters for June 28 Election

Anucha teamed up with Abhisit for the final campaign stretch in Sathorn, Yannawa, and Bang Khae, announcing a comprehensive overhaul of the waste collection system. He highlighted the Democrat Party's team strategy spreading throughout Bangkok, expressing confidence that the policies resonate with voters and inviting Bangkok residents to vote on 28 June.

On 20 June 2026, Anucha Burapachaisri, Democrat Party candidate number 5 for Bangkok governor, along with Abhisit Vejjajiva, Democrat Party leader, party executives including Deputy Leaders Korn Chatikavanij and Sakoltee Phattiyakul, and Montri Premboon, candidate for Sathorn district councilor number 1, met the public at the Teochew Health Park in the morning. They then visited the Saint Louis morning market, also known as Kitti morning market, followed by campaigning with Somkiat Panyathara, Yannawa district councilor candidate number 3, at Rung Charoen market. Afterwards, they went to Bang Khae market, traveling by boat through the Ratchamontri canal community with Kavin Chatawanich, Bang Khae district councilor candidate number 3. At each location, residents warmly welcomed them and directly shared local issues with Anucha and the Democrat Party leadership.

Anucha revealed that the overall response during the campaign visits has been very positive from the people. Many expressed happiness at meeting the candidate in person, noting that the five key policy areas presented by the Democrat Party resonate well and urging swift implementation if entrusted to serve at Bangkok City Hall and the Bangkok Metropolitan Council.

Regarding urgent issues in Sathorn district, Anucha said that public feedback identified two main problems needing immediate resolution: waste management and flooding. Residents reported that although they try to separate household waste, Bangkok's garbage trucks still mix all waste in one vehicle. This issue requires a complete system overhaul from start to finish. The second major issue is waterlogging during heavy rains, which the public places high hopes on being resolved.

On recent opinion polls, Anucha confidently stated that he and the party will continue campaigning according to their planned policies. He added that many people have come forward to offer support, affirming that regardless of winning or losing or poll rankings, he remains the top choice in their hearts. They are committed to voting for the Democrat Party candidates for governor and councilors.

Furthermore, Anucha invited Bangkok residents to exercise their voting rights on 28 June, emphasizing that the Democrat Party has candidates for all 50 districts. Each candidate has been carefully selected and has decades of experience working locally. Even without holding political office, they have continuously listened to and helped solve residents' problems.

"In this final campaign phase, the Democrat Party is working as a team (organism), with executives at all levels deployed across all 50 districts to demonstrate commitment and build confidence among Bangkok residents that our governor and councilors have strong party support and close oversight. I urge everyone to go out and vote on 28 June," Anucha said.
