
Cheering from the sidelines, Surasak, Minister of Tourism and Sports, praised the Thai women's national volleyball team for their outstanding performance after defeating Canada in the VNL 2026, and encouraged them ahead of tonight’s match against the Netherlands.
On 21 June 2026, Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, revealed that on 20 June he attended the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL 2026) women’s match 3 in week 2 at the Huamark Indoor Stadium to cheer in person. The Thai women's national volleyball team (ranked 20th in the world) faced Canada (ranked 10th), amid a loud and enthusiastic crowd of Thai supporters.
Surasak also praised and encouraged the Thai team after the match. The Thai players showed strong and excellent form, defeating Canada 3-1 sets with scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, and 25-20. This win brought Thailand’s total points to 9, rising to 12th place in the standings. Their next match is scheduled against the Netherlands today (21 June) at 20:30.
