Meanwhile, Poht Aramvattananont, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Council of Thai Chambers of Commerce, said in an interview before the JPP meeting regarding analyses that the Q4 economy might stall, that it likely will not stall. Whether government agencies need to add further measures remains to be seen from the first JPP meeting results. There is no need to worry because the negotiation framework between the US and Iran looks likely to improve. The government has many plans, including setting up several working groups. Therefore, there is no cause for concern.

On the other hand, Laworn Saengsnit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, briefly commented on measures to handle the US and Iran situation, saying they are waiting for the JPP meeting results. Regarding progress on reviewing projects funded by the 400 billion baht emergency loan decree to address the energy crisis and enable the country’s energy transition, Laworn said the review process just concluded at 23:00. Once all information is available, a meeting will be called to start the screening process.
