
Police Chief confirms the continuation of a rigorous crackdown on influential figures in Phuket Province, declining to comment on whether warrants will soon be issued for government officials, awaiting further developments.
At 12:30 p.m. on 22 June 2026 at the Government House, Police Chief Kittirat Phanphet spoke about progress in the crackdown on influential figures in Phuket. He stated that he has assigned the Deputy Police Chief to lead efforts on the ground. Deputy Police Chief Samran Nualma, who directs the Royal Thai Police’s Center for Suppression of Transnational Criminals and Illegal Immigration, along with several commanders, has been intensively and seriously gathering the incoming information.
When asked if warrants would be issued for government officials in Phuket, Police Chief Kittirat said that they must wait to see how the investigative results develop.
