Among those outside the family attending the meal was only Mr. Keeree Kanjanapas, chairman of the BTS Group. No politicians attended as in previous years, since Ms. Yingluck intended the event to be private. Yingluck and Thaksin are scheduled to leave Hong Kong around 24–25 June.
Reporters added that photos of Yingluck with politicians circulating on social media were old images reposted to send birthday wishes only.
