Akkaradet retaliated against Ice Rakchanok over Bhumjaithai members defending Chaichanok, urging her to clean up her own house first and not to interfere with members of other parties, while noting that the People's Party also has members facing several legal cases.
22 Jun 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Akkaradet Wongpitakroj Member of Parliament (MP) for Ratchaburi from the Bhumjaithai Party stepped up to respond. Ms. Rakchanok Srinok List MP from the People’s Party, after posting on Facebook alluding to Bhumjaithai MPs who have not yet defended Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, urging them to come forward. He confirmed that Bhumjaithai has no policy requiring MPs to defend or support any particular individual, nor does it compel members to express opinions in the same direction.
Akkaradet added that each MP’s interviews or opinions are personal rights exercised according to their role and privileges as MPs. He urged Ms. Rakchanok to respect others’ opinions and not to consider her own views as the center.
“Ms. Rakchanok should spend time managing her own party rather than interfering in others’ internal affairs, since currently the People’s Party has members facing legal cases on multiple issues, including money laundering and sexual harassment allegations, which require attention and urgent management. She should clean up her own house before encroaching on other parties’ members.”
At the end, Akkaradet emphasized that Bhumjaithai prioritizes working for the public’s benefit, with clear guidelines set by the party leader and secretary-general. Defending any individual is not a measure of party members’ performance. Bhumjaithai MPs maintain high discipline in their legislative duties and work wholeheartedly for the people.
