Suchart confirmed he filed defamation and Computer Crime Act lawsuits against Ice Rakchanok for alleging election fraud since February, denying the lawsuits were to silence scrutiny of the TH-AI Passport project.
At 09:30 on 23 June 2026 at the Government House, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin revealed that he filed lawsuits against Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, a People's Party MP and Chair of the Budget Oversight Committee, for posting accusations that he became minister through election fraud. He filed the lawsuits during the last election period, with the court holding a preliminary hearing yesterday (22 June).
Suchart insisted the lawsuits were not intended to silence Ms. Rakchanok amid her scrutiny of the Ministry of Digital Economy's TH-AI Passport project, as the lawsuits had been filed since February.
Regarding the legal cases between Suchart and Ms. Rakchanok, the lawyer stated that Suchart filed four lawsuits under defamation and the Computer Crime Act: 1. a case related to the Sky Nine building; 2. a case involving posts accusing him of being a minister through election fraud; 3. a case of posts alleging he defended wrongdoers concerning the Anti-Corruption Commission’s disclosure of bribery survey results; and 4. a case involving posts accusing him of being rude and having low manners.
