Phawut Pongwittayaphanu, MP for the People’s Party, emphasized that he is not involved with any scammers, does not conduct Forex business, but is a client trading gold. He denies soliciting investments and revealed that he is compiling information and will directly clarify facts with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) once the documents are ready.
At 10:00 a.m. on 24 June 2026 GMT+7 Phawut Pongwittayaphanu, Member of Parliament (MP) on the party-list for the People’s Party. Posted a statement viaFacebookto clarify facts on a matter attracting public attention and potential misunderstandings, stating that “Let me reaffirm that I have no connections with scammers, do not engage in Forex business, and am not involved in pyramid schemes or any multinational business gangs.” He proceeded to clarify four points as follows:
1. He is one of the “clients” who opened a gold trading account with QRS normally, and as far as he knows, the company has many clients.
2. Regarding photos shared online showing his relationship with QRS executives, as stated, he is just one trader among many. Regular meetings among traders are common, so taking photos with executives is normal and done by many. However, since it is him, he has drawn special attention.
3. Concerning the shared clip, he clarified that he attended the event as a “student” to learn chart analysis techniques. He has never been an instructor or solicited anyone. The clip is merely an interview sharing his personal trading experience and is not advertising or inviting anyone to register with any broker.
4. Trading gold here accumulates reward points, similar to earning points when shopping, which can be redeemed for items. He used points from his trading volume to redeem a trip abroad according to the system’s conditions.
Phawut also stated: “Regarding other doubts, I am currently gathering the most complete information, some of which is pending from financial institutions. I assure you that once the documents are ready, I will directly clarify the facts with the DSI.”
