Defense Ministry Calls 26 Specialized Reservists for Intensive Emergency Preparedness Training Boom Panadda Joins the Exercise

The Defense Ministry summoned 26 specialized reservists for active military duty to verify security mission readiness. "Boom" Panadda also joined the training.

On 24 June 2026, the Defense Personnel Department implemented its annual reservist call-up from 24 to 26 June, with General Thrapong Malakham, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, presiding over the opening ceremony alongside relevant unit leaders.

This year, the military called up 26 reservists with specialized knowledge for active duty, dividing operations into two main tasks: to assess readiness and review reservists’ roles, and to support security agencies.

This call-up aims to enhance continuous joint operations and boost the military’s capability to respond effectively to crises or changes. At the event, the Permanent Secretary inspected problem-solving training and the 2026 military manpower mobilization at the Defense Personnel Department. The training integrated military and civilian agencies, using information technology to improve communication and coordination, thereby increasing efficiency and speed in resource readiness and national mobilization during emergencies.

Additional reports indicate that among the 26 specialized reservists called to report and participate in training was the well-known TV host and president of the Good Deeds Organization Foundation, Dr. Panadda Wongpudi, also known as "Boom."
