Suchart Firmly Denies Ordering Legal Action Against Ingfa Over Thap Lan Park Issue

Suchart Chomklin firmly stated he has never instructed the legal department to sue Ingfa or take legal action against anyone regarding the Thap Lan National Park issue, focusing instead on resolving problems for local residents rather than retaliation or litigation, adhering to facts and the public interest as the main principles.

At 11:32 AM on 25 June 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, posted a message viaFacebook.Regarding reports that the legal department was ordered to sue Ingfa Waraha, Miss Grand Thailand 2022, over the #SaveThapLan case, he stated: “I want to clarify that the news claiming I ordered the legal team to sue Ingfa and her group is not true. I have never had a policy or directive to take legal action against anyone.”

Suchart further explained that previously the legal department had discussed this matter following normal agency procedures, but he did not agree with that approach because the most important thing now is to urgently solve problems for the people in the Thap Lan area and ensure fairness for all parties. He mentioned yesterday (24 June) that even if he is criticized on social media, it is not as important as the tears of those affected.

“Today, I choose to focus on resolving the residents’ problems rather than retaliating or suing anyone. The ministry’s approach is to address the public’s hardships alongside preserving natural resources, based on facts and the public interest. The circulated information is inaccurate.”
