Ko Kaew revealed his first meeting with Thaksin Shinawatra after his release, during the funeral of Police Lieutenant General Chatch, sharing that Thaksin was in good spirits and said he was healthy and would live another 40 years.
On 25 June 2026, Ko Kaew Pikultong, Deputy Leader of the Pheu Thai Party, posted a message viaFacebookalong with a photo with Thaksin Shinawatra, former Prime Minister, at the funeral rites of Police Lieutenant General Chatch Kuldilok, stating that “I had the chance to meet Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister in my heart, for the first time since his release, at the funeral rites of Police Lieutenant General Chatch Kuldilok, a very respected elder. I asked with concern about his health, and he replied cheerfully, ‘Very healthy, I will live another 40 years.’ I wanted to share this so that everyone who cares about him can feel at ease.”
Ko Kaew added that for older fans who truly love Thaksin, they should keep themselves fit and healthy so they can continue to support each other and not leave him behind too soon. He said the same applies to himself and concluded by saying he was going to exercise now.
