The Royal Gazette published a proclamation announcing the royal command appointing Bowornsak Uwanno and Wutthisan Tanchai as members of the Council of State, replacing Pakorn Nilprapan and Yutthana Sayochonok who resigned, effective 25 June 2026.

On 25 June 2026, the Royal Gazette website published a Prime Minister's Office announcement regarding the appointment of Council of State members. It stated that a royal command had appointed 138 Council of State members since 25 December 2025, as per the Prime Minister's Office announcement dated 30 December 2025.

Since Kasem Suwankul, Chairman of Council of State Committee No. 8, Pakorn Nilprapan, member of Committee No. 6, and Yutthana Sayochonok, member of Committee No. 14, resigned, and the chairmanship of Committee No. 13 became vacant, the Secretariat of the Council of State proceeded to select suitable candidates to propose to the committee comprising chairpersons of each Council committee. They reviewed and approved candidates under Section 13/1 of the Council of State Act B.E. 2522 (1979), as amended by the Council of State Act (No. 5) B.E. 2551 (2008).

Two individuals were selected as follows:

1. Mr. Bowornsak Uwanno

2. Mr. Wutthisan Tanchai

The appointees will serve the remainder of the terms of the previously appointed Council members. The Secretariat of the Cabinet has submitted the matter for royal approval.

Now, a royal command has appointed the two aforementioned individuals.

They shall hold the position of Council of State members effective 25 June 2026.

Proclaimed on 25 June 2026.

Endorsed by the Prime Minister.
