Anutin and Spouse Attend U.S. National Day Reception and 250th Anniversary of U.S. Independence Celebration

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by his wife and Minister Supamas Isarapakdi, attended the U.S. National Day reception celebrating the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, strengthening the longstanding Thailand-U.S. relationship.

At 8:00 p.m. on 25 June 2026, in the Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, One Bangkok, on Witthayu Road, Pathumwan District, Bangkok, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his wife, along with Minister Supamas Isarapakdi, attended the reception marking the 2026 U.S. National Day and the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister and his wife were welcomed by H.E. Mr. Sean O’Neill, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, who then invited them into the event area. The Prime Minister and his wife presented a congratulatory flower bouquet to the Ambassador in honor of the celebration.


The event was attended by approximately 1,300 guests from government, private sector, diplomatic corps, and international organizations. The opening ceremony began with a moment of silence to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patcharawacharakathida, followed by a prayer blessing from the Deputy Head of Mission of the Apostolic Nunciature of the Vatican in Thailand.

Next, the Prime Minister, his wife, and distinguished guests paid respects during the playing of the Thai royal anthem and the U.S. national anthem, followed by viewing a video commemorating the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. The U.S. Ambassador then delivered the welcome address and officially opened the event.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister and his wife joined U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Global Public Affairs, Dylan Johnson, on stage to share a toast celebrating U.S. National Day, amidst an atmosphere of friendship and strong ties between Thailand and the U.S. that have endured for many years. They then participated in the reception and engaged with honored guests from various sectors attending the event.
