Parit is waiting for the opposition whips to discuss whether to vote down the 2027 budget. He vows to prepare speakers to scrutinize the Ministry of Digital Economy's budget in depth, emphasizing that the public should be the judge of the information.
On 26 Jun 2026 at the Future Forward Building, Parit Watcharasinthu, deputy leader of the Prachachon Party, spoke about the approach to considering the 2027 budget bill. Regarding whether the party would maintain its opposition and vote against the budget, he said the official decision of the Prachachon Party and the opposition whips should wait for a formal meeting of the opposition whips. As for reports revealing that a large portion of the budget went to the Ministry of Digital Economy, and how this information would be disclosed to society, he noted that in comparing the budget changes from 2026 to 2027, especially for certain units within the Ministry involved with the TH-AI Passport project, there was a significant increase in their budget allocation. He confirmed that the opposition party will have speakers who will thoroughly examine the Ministry of Digital Economy's budget. Whether this will shake the government on this matter is for the public to decide.
