Prime Minister Explains Sending Phuket Provincial Clerk Back After 30-Day Review, Emphasizes Ongoing Investigation

The Prime Minister explained that sending "Rungrueng," the Phuket provincial clerk, back to his area was because the 30-day review process had concluded. However, the investigation continues. He emphasized that all procedures are being followed, and if wrongdoing is found, it will be addressed accordingly; if not, then no fault is assigned.

At 3:00 p.m. on 26 June 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the order for Rungrueng Thimabut, Phuket's provincial clerk, to return to his original post in Phuket. He said the matter was handled and reported by Attasit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. The reassignment occurred because the 30-day review period had ended, but the investigation has not stopped and continues to proceed. Everything follows standard procedures, and it remains the responsibility of the Ministry of Interior's Permanent Secretary Office. The outcome will be processed accordingly: if no wrongdoing is found, there is no fault; if wrongdoing is found, legal action will follow.
