Chadchart Urges Bangkok Residents: Don’t Believe Anyone Who Says Its a Sure Win and Calls for Voter Turnout

Chadchart emphasized, “Don’t believe anyone who says it’s a sure win,” urging Bangkok residents to come out and vote. He stressed that a large number of votes translates into bargaining power for the city. He also highlighted Traffy Fondue, a tool reforming the bureaucracy by enabling people in Bangkok to report issues 24 hours a day.

On 26 June 2026, after launching the final campaign event, the “Tour Around Bangkok” at BTS Chong Nonsi station plaza, Chadchart Sitthiphan, candidate number 9 for Bangkok governor, along with his “Bangkok Works” team, walked from Chong Nonsi to Lumphini Park to meet people and continue campaigning in the last stretch before the governor and council elections on 28 June 2026. Despite intermittent rain, the campaign atmosphere remained lively, with passersby greeting, encouraging, shaking hands, bumping fists, and taking photos with Chadchart continuously.

Upon reaching Lumphini Park, residents exercising and relaxing there warmly welcomed him. Many engaged in conversation and offered encouragement. Chadchart also stopped to watch aerobics activities in the park, reflecting how Bangkok’s public spaces remain vibrant even during a rainy evening.

Chadchart then spoke about improving Bangkok’s public service system, especially the Traffy Fondue platform, which allows citizens to report city problems 24 hours a day.

He said that over the past four years, citizens have reported more than 1.3 million issues through Traffy Fondue, with Bangkok having resolved over 1 million of them. This serves as an example of reforming the bureaucracy to be more citizen-focused, removing the need to wait for orders from the governor, and instead letting residents identify real problems in their areas.

Chadchart stated that if re-elected, he would expand Traffy Fondue to work more proactively by using the over 1 million reports combined with AI to analyze weaknesses in each district and determine how to improve services. This would enable Bangkok to solve problems faster and more precisely.

He added that when Traffy Fondue was first introduced, it took an average of about two months to resolve an issue, but now it takes only 1.9 days on average. This shows that the bureaucracy can change if the right technology is used and if leadership is committed to solving problems.

At the end of his speech, Chadchart urged citizens to vote on 28 June, emphasizing not to believe anyone who says it’s a sure win because if people don’t vote, the outcome might not be as expected. He encouraged people to bring their families and close ones to vote as much as possible.

“Promise me you’ll go vote. Tell your parents, relatives, and friends. Don’t believe anyone who says it’s a sure win. Staying home might feel like a sure win, but I want you to show your strength like thunder and lightning. The governor has to work with many agencies. If we get a large number of votes, that’s a mandate from the people. Please vote overwhelmingly—80% or more would be even better.” Chadchart also said,

"Every vote is a vital power and a consensus from the people. The Bangkok governor must work with many agencies, so having strong public support is crucial for negotiating and pushing policies to succeed. I encourage people to vote early in the morning. Even if it rains, please bring an umbrella, because after voting you can relax and then follow the election results in the evening. Remember to vote for the governor with the green ballot and for councilors with the pink ballot."
