Anutin Presides Over Buddhist Consecration Ceremony for Luang Por Tuad Amulet, Disease-Free, Safe Edition

The Prime Minister presided over the Buddhist consecration ceremony for the Luang Por Tuad amulet, "Disease-Free, Safe" edition, with proceeds designated to develop the Sorn Foundation and 92 Royal Health Stations nationwide, reinforcing the primary healthcare system to improve public access to services.

At 09:50 on 27 June 2026 at Wat Huay Mongkol, Thap Tai Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the Buddhist consecration ceremony of the Luang Por Tuad amulet, "Disease-Free, Safe" edition.

Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated that upon arrival, the Prime Minister paid respects to Phra Phisan Sitthikun, abbot of Wat Huay Mongkol, engaged in Dharma discussion, and worshipped the image of Luang Por Tuad before proceeding to the ceremony area. He lit candles to honor the Triple Gem at the altar table. The officiating monks recited praises to the Triple Gem and invited the precepts; monks administered the precepts. The Prime Minister handed the marking tool to the abbot to mark the candle cabinet, then lit the main candle and passed it to the abbot to light the victory candle. Afterwards, he lit the candle for the holy water basin, and the monks chanted the Buddhist consecration prayers.

Subsequently, the Prime Minister offered the traditional four requisites to the monks, followed by pouring water to receive blessings. The monks sprinkled flower-petaled rice around the ceremony area before the Prime Minister scattered flower-petaled rice himself, then paid respects to the Triple Gem and the presiding monks. The monks then sprinkled holy water on the Prime Minister, marking the conclusion of the ceremony.

The Luang Por Tuad amulet, "Disease-Free, Safe" edition, was produced as a commemorative coin by the Sorn Foundation for the 60th anniversary of Queen Sirikit's birthday to raise funds for developing the foundation and supporting 92 Royal Health Stations nationwide, as well as central foundation activities. The goal is to elevate primary healthcare services by incorporating digital technology and essential medical equipment to improve service efficiency for the public.

The Sorn Foundation acts as a central agency supporting and developing the 92 Royal Health Stations nationwide into "model health stations" in terms of infrastructure, landscaping, and service quality. These stations serve as sustainable health support centers for the public, especially in remote areas, while strengthening the primary healthcare system to ensure comprehensive, quality, and sustainable care for the population.
