Teng Appeals to Bangkok Residents to Join in Creating Change Like a Major Election

Natthapong and Weerayut campaigned in Bangkok on the final day before voting, declaring that if people still believe as they do, they will open the door for Jo Chaiwat to become governor and for People Party district councilors in all 50 districts, building a transparent Bangkok council and urging people to create change together like in a major election.

On 27 June 2026 GMT+7, the People Party campaigned in Bangkok on the last day before the 28 June election to support Chaiwat Sathawornwijit, candidate for Bangkok governor number 10, and all 50 People Party district council candidates. The campaign was led by Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, party leader; Weerayut Kanchuchat, deputy leader; Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn and Wallop Treeriksngam, Bangkok management team members; and Rakchanok Srinok, party-list MP.

In the morning, Natthapong campaigned at the Pin Charoen 3 community market in Don Mueang district, then moved to Khlong Sam Wa district. In the afternoon, he joined Chaiwat at Central Ladprao mall and rode a campaign truck along routes through Chatuchak, Ratchathewi, Phaya Thai, Pathum Wan, and Samphanthawong districts.

Chaiwat stated that Bangkok residents have faced the same recurring problems for a long time. He asked for the opportunity to work on resolving these issues decisively and to lead Bangkok forward, improving the quality of life for its people.

For Bangkok residents who remain hesitant, Chaiwat expressed belief that many who previously voted for Future Forward, Move Forward, and now the People Party share the conviction that Thailand needs change, and so does Bangkok, which requires solutions at their root. He urged those who agree to vote for the People Party’s Jo Chaiwat, number 10, and all 50 district council candidates.

Natthapong said they engage in politics to create change and believes that Bangkok voters will decide with the same reasoning that led them to trust the Orange Party in the past. He noted that trust in their party has grown as they have proven they can push progressive agendas and societal improvements even without holding executive power. If voters open the door for them to manage Bangkok’s budget of over 100 billion baht annually, they will demonstrate their ability to deliver change.

Natthapong concluded by urging voters tomorrow not to choose based on who they think will win, but to vote with hope for the type of politics they want, as they did in the major elections of 2019, 2023, and 2026. Together, they can create change.
