Prime Minister Anutin has signed an order instructing the Prime Minister's Office Public Service Center to set up a channel for civil service and local government exam candidates defrauded by middlemen to file complaints and report illegal activities.
On 27 June 2026, reporters reported that Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Chanvirakul signed Prime Minister's Office Order No. 256/2569 regarding facilitating the submission of complaints and tips on corruption cases in competitive exams for recruitment as civil servants or local government employees, following the involvement of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) in cooperation with
police officers conducting raids and arrests related to a corrupt scheme in the competitive exams for recruitment as civil servants or local government employees.
Authorities found substantial evidence linked to wrongdoing possibly involving government officials, which caused distress and harm to the public, especially exam candidates deceived by middlemen or persons falsely claiming they could ensure selection. It is appropriate to publicize and facilitate those affected to submit complaints or report illegal acts promptly to restore public confidence. Under Section 11 of the 1991 Administrative Procedures Act, the Prime Minister issues the following order.
Clause 1: The Public Service Center of the Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister is responsible for publicizing and providing channels for exam candidates defrauded by middlemen or false promises of help to file complaints or report illegal acts related to corruption in recruitment exams for civil servants or local government employees. This aims to assist those affected and support relevant agencies in their lawful duties.
Clause 2: The Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister shall continuously report the implementation results of Clause 1 to the Prime Minister, effective immediately.
Ordered on 27 June 2026.
