Seththa Tawisin walked his favorite dog to cast his vote for Bangkok governor and city councilors. He emphasized that every election is important and encouraged everyone to exercise their voting rights. He also urged the new governor to ensure confidence is built regarding corruption issues.
At 08:30 on 28 June 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Seththa Tawisin, former Prime Minister, walked out from his residence in the Sukhumvit area, leading his beloved dog named Chaokaw, to vote for the Bangkok governor and Bangkok Metropolitan Council members at the polling station in the parking lot of the City Lake Tower Condominium on Sukhumvit 16, Khlong Toei Nuea Subdistrict, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok.
Mr. Seththa said the weather was good today, no rain, and the morning sun was not too hot. He thought it best to come out early to exercise the vote. He encouraged everyone to fully exercise their voting rights, hoping voter turnout would reach 70 percent as targeted. He stressed that every election is important because it allows citizens to exercise their rights to choose leaders to manage affairs at both national and local levels.
When asked if he had any message for the new governor, whose results would be announced today, Mr. Seththa responded, "I believe whoever becomes governor already knows what needs to be done and understands the public’s hardships. However, if I were to leave a message, it would be about corruption, which I regard as a major issue. This must be addressed to build confidence." .
