Supamas Urges New Bangkok Governor to Collaborate with Government on Livelihood Issues and Boost Grassroots Economy for Better Quality of Life

Supamas encourages Bangkok residents to vote in the Bangkok governor and council elections, stressing that everyone holds the power to change the city. She also urges the new governor to cooperate with the government to solve livelihood problems and promote the grassroots economy for a better quality of life, ensuring improved living standards.

On 28 Jun 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, exercised her right to vote for the Bangkok governor and council members at polling station 7, Wachiraphayaban subdistrict, Dusit district, inside Joan of Arc School, Soi Samsen 13. She was registered as voter number 412. Upon arrival, she verified her name and proceeded to the voting booth before casting her ballot.

After voting, Ms. Supamas urged eligible voters to come out and vote, noting that candidates have different policies but each voter likely has a preferred choice. She invited Bangkok residents not to neglect their voting rights and to choose the candidate they support, emphasizing that each vote is a powerful voice capable of transforming the city. She observed that many voters had already cast ballots and, with favorable weather and no rain, there was still half a day left to vote. Regardless of the choice, she stressed the importance of participating to demonstrate Thai people's democratic strength and to preserve democracy in Thailand, avoiding later regrets over an unsatisfactory governor or council members due to abstention.

Ms. Supamas added that the Bangkok governor election reflects the nation as a whole. Whoever is elected should focus on improving citizens' quality of life in cooperation with the government. Currently, livelihood issues are critical, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul prioritizing them. She urged the new governor to pay special attention to the grassroots economy and citizens' livelihoods, aiming for all Bangkok residents to enjoy a good quality of life—with children receiving quality education and families having suitable employment. She expressed hope that no one would suffer hardship or lack education to the point of being unable to sustain themselves, entrusting this message to the incoming governor.
