Mr. Yotsanan was listed as voter number 311, while Ms. Nantakan, his wife, was number 236. Mrs. Yaowapha Wongsawat, his mother, was number 309, and Ms. Chayapha Wongsawat, his sister, was number 288. They had already voted earlier in the morning. The polling station had a total of 589 registered voters.
After casting his vote, Mr. Yotsanan said that voting is an exercise of democratic rights, and democracy is always beautiful. However, it can only be beautiful if everyone participates in voting. He encouraged everyone to come out and use their vote to select the Bangkok governor who will work for the next four years.
When asked what kind of governor he wants, Mr. Yotsanan said he wants someone who prioritizes quality of life by putting citizens first and finding ways to improve their well-being. He has reviewed the policies of all candidates, noting that they all have good intentions for Bangkok. Ultimately, it depends on the votes of the people. From the government's perspective, they focus on human development, human capital, science, and technology, and are happy to assist the new governor.
Mr. Yotsanan added that he hopes the new governor will consider people from childhood through old age. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security runs childcare centers, promoting good quality of life. Regarding education, he is willing to cooperate with Bangkok schools to enhance education quality. For higher education, under his supervision, universities can nurture innovation alongside Bangkok, making the city an effective innovation system that can also spread benefits to other provinces.
Regarding the working-age population, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation can collaborate well with Bangkok in developing skills and quality of life. As society ages, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has ongoing projects. Working together on these issues will make Bangkok a livable city. He is also eager to cooperate with the Bangkok governor on health matters, as there are many university experts working in this field.
When asked about his expectations for the Bangkok governor, Mr. Yotsanan said the governor must be able to work with everyone, prioritize citizens, and promote a high quality of life for Bangkok residents.
