
Bangkok authorities invite city residents to exercise their right to vote for the Governor and Bangkok Metropolitan Council members, reminding the public that voting is open until 5 p.m. today.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok visited several polling stations to monitor operations, check readiness, facilitate voter convenience, and encourage the officials working at the stations.
Mr. Taiwut Khankaew, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, visited polling stations in Sai Mai, Bang Khen, and Laksi districts to oversee voter facilitation, organize traffic around polling sites, and emphasize preparedness for potential rain during the day.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jiradet Karunagruttakul, another Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, inspected the election processing and management unit in Khan Na Yao district, inquiring about voter numbers, vote reporting, and system readiness to ensure the election results are collected and processed accurately, swiftly, transparently, and according to regulations.
Dr. Lerlak Leelarueangsang, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, cast her vote in Bang Khae district before visiting polling stations in Suan Luang and Bang Na districts to monitor operations and facilitate voter convenience, ensuring voting is accessible, safe, and equal for all.
The visits by the three Deputy Permanent Secretaries found that overall election operations and vote processing units are running smoothly. Voters are steadily arriving to cast their ballots. Polling officials are performing their duties as prescribed, with preparations in place to handle potential afternoon rain as forecast by the Meteorological Department, aiming to conduct an efficient, transparent election that fully facilitates the public.
However, Bangkok authorities encourage all eligible voters to cast their ballots by 5 p.m., stressing that every vote is crucial in shaping Bangkok’s future development. The green ballot is for voting for the Governor, while the pink ballot is for electing members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council.
