On 28 June 2026 at 17:50, at the Democrat Party headquarters, Mr. Anucha Boonyachai Sri, the party’s Bangkok governor candidate, spoke openly after learning that independent candidate Chatchat Sithiphan was leading. He said he is willing to support any policies or points that are beneficial to Chatchat. During the past six weeks, he greeted citizens in every district and presented various ideas, which he believes will be useful for future city administration.
Anucha also took this opportunity to thank party members and citizens who gave the Democrat Party a chance and exercised their voting rights reasonably, even if they had not chosen the party in the past.
He further thanked the party leader, executives, and all 50 district council candidates. Having met candidates in every district, he expressed gratitude to everyone who joined the journey over the past six weeks. It was not just about seeking votes but also an opportunity to hear public concerns about issues needing resolution in Bangkok. He confirmed he will continue strong fieldwork despite not being elected, acting as a good coordinator. He thanked everyone for warmly welcoming the Democrat Party.
