Wiroj Congratulates Chadchart on Bangkok Governor Win, Pledges Support and Accepts Partys Election Defeat Due to Poor Planning

Wiroj congratulates Chadchart on winning his second term as Bangkok governor, affirming that People's Party councilors are ready to support his work and will not allow anyone to use budget cuts to threaten the governor, noting that the People's Party candidate's vote reflects criticisms from Bangkok residents.

On 29 June 2026, Wiroj Lakhanadisorn, a member of the People's Governor management team, posted on Facebook congratulating Chadchart Sittipunt on his election victory. He also thanked all Bangkok voters for trusting Joe Chaiwat Satavornwijit, the People's Party candidate for governor, and all 50 People's Party councilor candidates.

Wiroj stated that all People's Party councilors will work straightforwardly with Chadchart. They will fully support any project that benefits Bangkok residents, has a reasonable budget, and is transparently implemented, ensuring the administration receives full budget approval from the Bangkok council without any cuts, so Chadchart can complete projects promptly with quality materials and no contractor abandonment.

For projects where budget savings are possible or some irregularities are found, they will act as vigilant overseers to prevent corrupt officials or dishonest councilors from inserting fraudulent projects to deceive the administration for personal gain.

Any budget reductions will be handled transparently through the Bangkok council, with open debate on the reasons, guided by scientific principles, mathematical calculations, and cost-effectiveness of tax money use. All reduced funds will be returned to the administration according to official regulations.

Finally, Wiroj assured Chadchart that they will not allow anyone to use budget reductions as a tool for intimidation or to leverage reduced funds—known as 'amendment budgets'—to negotiate benefits for themselves or funnel money to their associated contractors, under any circumstance.

If any councilor group dares to threaten Chadchart for doing the right thing, all People's Party councilors will stand united to protect Chadchart and the public's tax money to the fullest extent, openly and honestly, enabling him to manage Bangkok fully and ensure every baht reaches Bangkok residents genuinely.

Wiroj also posted that the votes the People's Party received in the governor and councilor elections clearly reflect the 'criticisms' from Bangkok residents toward the party—very clearly, like a teacher calling a student into the staff room for a well-intentioned reprimand.

He sincerely accepts the outcome without excuses or blaming anyone or any factors, and does not shift responsibility to others.

Wiroj said the results stem from the party’s insufficient decisions, preparations, and planning. The scores clearly show that Bangkok residents want the People's Party to prepare better, do more thorough homework, be more dedicated and meticulous, engage in detailed and thoughtful political thinking with civil society, and have a clearer, firmer political stance that matches the trust once given. He sincerely apologizes to all citizens for the disappointment caused.

He accepts this criticism without excuse and will use it as an important lesson to promptly improve and make the People's Party worthy of the people's trust as soon as possible.
