Permanent Secretary of the PMO Vows Continuous Tip Center Operation, Emphasizes Strict Confidentiality for Complainants

Following the ongoing saga of local government exam fraud, the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) declared the continuous operation of a tip center, stressing that complainant information will be kept under the strictest confidentiality.

On 30 June 2026 at the Parliament, Ms. Yupa Taweewattanakitbaworn, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, provided an update on the PMO's public service center established to facilitate complaints and tips regarding corruption in local government civil service recruitment exams, as ordered urgently by the Prime Minister. She stated the center remains open and continues to receive reports, though the number of complainants so far is still limited. This is likely because most victims are waiting to observe the situation and the civil servants' registration scheduled for 1 July. She urged victims to submit information promptly. Meanwhile, officials are compiling and aggregating all data.

The Permanent Secretary affirmed that all information and tips submitted will be kept under the highest level of confidentiality, following standard procedures. Only statistical data on the number of complaints will be disclosed publicly; no details, misconduct descriptions, or personal information of complainants will be revealed. The PMO has already coordinated with relevant agencies to prepare explanations and proceed with investigations according to proper processes.
