
The Cabinet approved a second one-year extension for Piyawat Siwarak as Secretary-General of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and confirmed a new board for the Port Authority of Thailand, while also appointing Watcharakorn Lerdduaylap as Secretary to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security.
At 14:00 on 30 June 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced at the Government House after a Cabinet meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Pipat Ratchakitprakarn that the Cabinet resolved to appoint Ms. Kamlai Angkaew, Director of the Recruitment and Selection Center of the CSC, as Advisor on the Civil Service System at the CSC, Prime Minister's Office, effective from 8 April 2026, the date she fully met all qualifications, from the date of royal appointment onwards.
At the same time, the Cabinet approved a proposal from Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilprapant, overseeing the CSC, to extend the tenure of Mr. Piyawat Siwarak, Secretary-General of the CSC, whose first one-year extension ends on 30 September 2026, for a second one-year term from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.
Ms. Lalida further stated that the Cabinet approved the appointment of the chairman and expert committee members to the Office of Technology and Innovation in Biosciences board as proposed by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Mr. Prasit Wattanapha was appointed chairman, with expert members including Mr. Wiriya Techarungroj, Mrs. Patamawadee Pochanukul, Mr. Preecha Phantivej, Mr. Dilok Piyayothai, Mr. Pakorn Sukhum, and Mr. Watcharin Panurat. These appointments are effective from 30 June 2026.
The Cabinet also approved the Minister of Labour's proposal to appoint the chairman, employer representatives, employee representatives, and expert committee members to the board of the Institute for the Promotion of Safety, Occupational Health, and Working Environment, totaling six members, as the previous board's three-year term had expired.

The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Transport's proposal to appoint the chairman and other members of the Port Authority of Thailand board, totaling eight members, replacing the previous board which ended its term prematurely.
