Foreign Ministry Announces Good News: 10 Thai-Flagged and Thai-Contracted Ships Have Safely Left the Strait of Hormuz, Only One Remains

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced good news that a total of 10 Thai-flagged and Thai-contracted vessels have safely exited the Strait of Hormuz, leaving only the ship "Hattaya Naree" currently awaiting cargo.

On 30 June 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided an update on the ongoing monitoring of 11 Thai-flagged and Thai-contracted vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz since the closure was announced on 28 February 2026. The Ministry reported that most recently, 10 Thai-flagged and Thai-contracted ships have safely departed the Strait of Hormuz area. Only one vessel owned by a Thai operator remains—the "Hattaya Naree," which is currently waiting to load cargo and plans to leave the area at the earliest opportunity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes this positive development, which reflects the integrated efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Royal Thai Navy, the Ministry of Commerce, the Office of the National Security Council, and relevant public and private agencies. These bodies have coordinated and monitored the situation while continuously facilitating the stranded vessels. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide assistance to the last remaining vessel until it can safely depart the area.
