Peerapun joins the 105th anniversary celebration of the Communist Party of China, emphasizing the 700-year-strong Thai-Chinese brotherhood.
On 2 July 2026, Peerapun Saleerutthipak, leader of the United Thai Nation Party, attended a seminar marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, reflecting the longstanding friendship between the two countries at both government and political party levels.
Peerapun stated that 1 July is a very important day for both countries. He noted that, according to history dating back to the Ayutthaya period, Thailand and China have maintained close trade, diplomatic, and economic relations for nearly 700 years—not just the 51 years of modern diplomatic relations. This relationship is more than a partnership; it is bonded by blood and spirit under the saying, “Thai and Chinese are not distant, but brothers” or “Jong Tai Ee Jia Chin.”
The United Thai Nation Party leader praised the Communist Party of China’s greatness in leading the country to prosperity, highlighting its success in designing governance that fits its own history, culture, and traditions without copying anyone else.
“The key to the Communist Party of China’s success is not only the unity of the people but also the important spirit of the Chinese as fighters who never give up in the face of obstacles. This is the pride of all Asians, proving that we can do it and do it better,” Peerapun said.
On this occasion, Peerapun also met and took photos with H.E. Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, expressing gratitude for China’s honor and longstanding recognition of Thailand as a true friend. Both sides are confident their friendship will remain strong and sustainable, cooperating to develop the Indo-Pacific region further.
