Chakraphop Penkhae Advances to Thai Rak Thai Party List MP after Prasert Resigns

The Royal Gazette published the House of Representatives' announcement that Chakraphop Penkhae has moved up to become a party-list MP for the Thai Rak Thai Party following Prasert Chantraruangthong's resignation as MP on 1 July.


On 3 July 2026, the Royal Gazette website publishedthe House of Representatives' declaration regarding the advancement of the next person on a party's list to become an MP, filling a vacant seat.It stated that according to the Election Commission's announcement of the party-list MP election results dated 4 March 2026, which declared that Mr. Prasert Chantraruangthong, listed fifth on the Thai Rak Thai party list, was elected as an MP,

now, Mr. Prasert Chantraruangthong has submitted his resignation as an MP effective 1 July 2026, resulting in the termination of his membership under Section 101 (3) of the 2017 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. Therefore, pursuant to Section 105 (2) of the 2017 Constitution, it is declared that the next person on the Thai Rak Thai party list shall advance to become an MP in his place: Mr. Chakraphop Penkhae, who was number 18 on the party list.
