Anti-Corruption Commission Panel Visits NACC, Collaborates to Intensify Anti-Graft Efforts and Expedite Key Cases

The Anti-Corruption Commission Panel visited the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to join forces against corruption, focusing on proactive work and expediting key cases, with plans to propose 4-6 bills through the government to modernize and enhance efficiency.

On 3 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Asaphol Santraiphop, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on the Prevention and Suppression of Corruption (Anti-Corruption Commission Panel), along with his team, visited the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) office to study and exchange views. They were welcomed by Mr. Surapong Intarathaworn, Secretary-General of the NACC, and other officials.

Mr. Asaphol revealed after the visit that the purpose was to introduce the committee and foster cooperation between the legislative branch and this independent agency to enhance the effectiveness and concreteness of corruption prevention and suppression. They also listened to challenges to consider supporting legal, policy, and oversight mechanisms.

Regarding complaint progress, Mr. Asaphol stated the committee has been monitoring issues forwarded from 35 standing committees, emphasizing that the NACC should expedite responses to these matters as some have lacked progress. The NACC Secretary-General promised to accelerate and closely coordinate these efforts.

Additionally, the Anti-Corruption Commission Panel proposed holding joint meetings at least quarterly to follow up on issues important to the public. They also discussed preparing to propose 4-6 bills through the government to update laws and improve operational efficiency.

The panel chairman stressed that future cooperation will be close and flexible under normal mechanisms. Even with the upcoming change of the NACC Secretary-General in two months, he assured this will not hinder operations and that collaboration will continue steadily.
