
Prasert resigns from his position as a Pheu Thai party list MP, allowing Jakrapop, ranked 18th on the party list, to move up as the new MP.
On 3 July 2026, the Royal Gazette published an announcement from the House of Representatives regarding the elevation of the next candidate on a party's list to become an MP, filling a vacancy following the Election Commission's announcement of the party list election results dated 4 March 2026. This announcement confirmed that Prasert Chantraruangthong, ranked 5th on the Pheu Thai party list, was elected as an MP.
Now, Prasert Chantraruangthong has submitted a letter resigning from his MP position effective 1 July 2026, resulting in the termination of his membership under Article 101 (3) of the 2023 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. Therefore, under the authority of Article 105 (2) of the 2017 Constitution, it is announced that the next candidate on the Pheu Thai party list, ranked 18th, Jakrapop Penkha, is to be promoted to MP to fill the vacancy.
