Krawit Confirms No Reserve PM Candidate in Bhumjaithai Party Only Anutin and Sihasak Are Candidates, Urges Stop to Rumors

Dispelling rumors about a reserve prime minister, MP Krawit confirmed the Bhumjaithai Party has only two candidates: Mr. Anutin and Mr. Sihasak, with no one named "S." He declared the party will never propose an outsider and called for an end to deception and rumors.

On 5 July 2026, regarding rumors of a reserve prime minister from the Blue Party with the initial "S." ready to step in if political incidents occur,

Mr. Krawit Prasarnanantakul, MP for Ang Thong Province from the Bhumjaithai Party and chairman of the government's coalition coordination committee (whip committee), posted on his personal Facebook stating that the party has no "S." but only "Mr. Anutin." He said that recently, some people have been spreading rumors, initials, and names to create political turbulence.

"I want to state the facts from the MPs and party whips. Bhumjaithai Party has only two prime minister candidates under the constitution: Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul and Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew. There are no others," he said.

Mr. Krawit added that the constitution clearly states the prime minister must come from candidates nominated by the political party. Therefore, regardless of any initials or how many times rumors are spread, the facts will not change.

Bhumjaithai Party has only one leader, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. The party has never considered nor has any reason to propose anyone else outside the party's official candidates for prime minister. We have confidence in our management team and believe Mr. Anutin will lead the government to work for the people until the end of its term. Stop deceiving, stop misleading, stop spreading rumors. Rumors may change some people's minds but will never change the truth.
