At 08:45 on 6 July 2026 at the parliament, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul attended a Senate meeting to explain the 2026 budget transfer bill amounting to 10.328 billion baht, after it had passed its third reading in the House of Representatives.
After the meeting at 09:30, as the Prime Minister was getting into his car, reporters asked whether Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Atthasit Sampantharat had reported to him about the appointment of a serious disciplinary committee for five officials under the Department of Local Administration on the same day. The Prime Minister heard the question but did not respond.
When reporters asked about the NIDA poll showing a decline in the Prime Minister's approval rating, Anutin rolled down his car window slightly and said only that he was about to meet the French Ambassador to Thailand at Government House.
When asked again whether he had signed the order, the Prime Minister just smiled and rolled up the car window before immediately leaving the parliament.
