Warawut Views Prime Minister’s Threat to Reshuffle Cabinet as Positive Stimulus for Ministers Work

Warawut believes the Prime Minister is concerned about how government work is communicated to the public, viewing it positively as a signal to reshuffle the Cabinet to stimulate the ministers' efforts.

On 7 July 2026 GMT+7, Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, spoke before the Cabinet meeting at Government House regarding Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's signal urging ministers to accelerate delivering government achievements and communicating their work to the public more effectively.

Warawut said that if this signal is seen as an indication of a Cabinet reshuffle, it reflects the Prime Minister’s intention to motivate Cabinet members, which is positive. Many ministers work in multiple dimensions, but communicating and publicizing their achievements to the public is equally important.

“Working alone without communication may leave the public unaware of the results. Conversely, focusing on publicity without actual work is not appropriate. Therefore, the Prime Minister is concerned and has urged the government to communicate its work to the public, which is a positive development,” Warawut said.

When asked to assess his own performance, Warawut replied he cannot evaluate himself because his duty is to work fully every day, including weekends. How much the public recognizes this depends on media and public assessment. He jokingly added, “In that case, may I ask back?”
