Vatcharapong criticized groups aiming to overthrow the government, spreading daily fake news to discredit it, with rumors of conflict between the two “N”s. He said that disrupting and changing the prime minister is impossible due to constitutional provisions. He believes these efforts aim to create issues for negotiating benefits and rely on extraconstitutional power.
On 7 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Vatcharapong Kuwijitsuwan, MP for Saraburi from the Bhumjaithai Party, stated his position defending the work of Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. He also warned society about groups targeting the government’s overthrow by continuously spreading defamatory and distorted information.
Vatcharapong said that currently there is a group scrutinizing and twisting every action of the prime minister into negative issues. This includes rumors about internal party conflicts between “N. Nu” and “N. Ne,” digging up allegations of corruption, and even using fortune-tellers to predict the prime minister’s removal in July. All these are attempts to discredit.
Regarding rumors about a new prime minister with the initials “S.,” Vatcharapong urged the public to stay calm and think rationally, since the constitution does not allow such a change. These rumors clearly show that those spreading them want to create turmoil as a tool to negotiate political benefits or, at a deeper level, to push for extraconstitutional authority.
Vatcharapong added that the intense efforts to overthrow the government stem from Prime Minister Anutin’s administration proving tangible results in resolving multiple national crises. These include creating economic and trade opportunities globally, cracking down on drugs and transnational crime, taking clear stances toward neighboring countries, and seriously combating corruption. When the government performs well, other political groups or corrupt networks losing their interests feel threatened and resort to all means to block progress.
Vatcharapong expressed concern for the public, urging everyone to be mindful when receiving information, to consider facts comprehensively, and not to believe malicious fake news. Allowing such falsehoods to create confusion and division would directly affect the government’s focus and could halt efforts to address national and public issues.
