The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior withheld the names of the disciplinary investigation committee for five Local Administration Department officials involved in local government exam fraud, hinting that the chairperson holds a position equivalent to director-general.


On 7 July 2026, Mr. Atsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, spoke about the chairperson and members of the disciplinary investigation committee for five officials of the Department of Local Administration (DLA). He said the names are confidential, but the chairperson is a person holding a position equivalent to director-general or a senior executive of the department. He emphasized that the names cannot be disclosed as the order is classified, and the committee consists of 6-7 members including the chairperson.
