The Election Commission has resolved to certify Chatchat Sitthiphan as Governor of Bangkok with over 1.5 million votes, and also certified Poramet Ngampichet for another term as Mayor of Pattaya City.
On 7 July 2026, the Election Commission meeting approved the official certification of the Bangkok governor election results, confirming Chatchat Sitthiphan was elected with 1,537,784 votes. It also certified all 50 members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council and certified Poramet Ngampichet as Mayor of Pattaya City with 20,184 votes, along with all 6 Pattaya City Council members, as proposed by the Election Commission office. There were no complaints indicating any irregularities affecting the fairness or transparency of the June 28 election. However, the Election Commission retains the authority to investigate any complaints or objections after certification.
Acting Lt. Sampan Saengkamloet, Director of the Bangkok Election Commission Office, added that the Election Commission has now fully certified the Governor of Bangkok and all 50 Bangkok Metropolitan Council members.
Additionally, official invitations have been sent to the Governor of Bangkok and all council members to receive their formal certificates on 9 July 2026 at 09:00 a.m. in the second-floor hall of the Election Commission office, which will serve as official proof to commence their legal duties.
